It's too late now for the world banking system to learn.
Looks like we are in for quite a long period of recession. On a better note however, there are still crowds at shopping malls and food courts, and even restaurants, people are still spending, which is a good sign. At the moment, only big ticket items like Houses and Cars are affected in terms of demand.
